Oak Terrace Apartments in Tuscumbia, Alabama, projected to open in September, 2007, is the newest facility Volunteers of America North Alabama will be operating to help those with mental illness live successfully in the community.  According to Vic Tucker, President/CEO of Volunteers of America North Alabama, "The apartments are to provide affordable housing for people from the Shoals who are disabled, particularly those struggling with mental illness."
