It would warm your heart to know that something as simple as a book, an encouraging word and a visit from a cartoon character could bring so much enthusiasm and excitement to a youngster.

Over the past years, we have distributed over 50,000 books to children in our quest to foster a love for books and to underscore the importance of learning to read.

We identify groups of children who are the most likely not to have books of their own and who need extra encouragement.

We have sharpened the focus of our book distribution to include, in particular, children whose lives have been impacted by:

Homelessness

A family member's incarceration

Children experiencing trauma

We also provide books to agencies in North Alabama who serve children whose lives have been impacted by events in these focus areas.  If you wuld like information on or how your agency can quilify, please contact Donna.
