Volunteers of America provides:

 

Residential supported living and Day Habilitation Centers for individuals with developmental disabilities.

           

Residential supported living and basic living skills training for people with mental illness.

 

Subsidized housing for the elderly and families.

 

In the home behavioral aid services and sitter services for youth and families through the Alabama Department of Human Resources.

 

Senior Supportive Services coming in the Spring of 2008 - affordable solutions for independent living.

 

Distributes free books and educational toys to children through BOOKS R COOL.

 

Provides holiday meals for needy families at Thanksgiving.

We continue to seek new avenues of services throughout our North Alabama communities and are ready to develop new programs for needs that should be addressed in our communities.  For more information on program development, contact outreach@voana.org.
