Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, Volunteers of America North Alabama was established in 1981. We began with the management of two 8-bed group homes for the mentally challenged. The program expanded each succeeding year to include services across North Alabama. In January of 1987, the organization was incorporated as "Volunteers of America North Alabama, Inc." and established a Board of Directors.

With a full and part time staff of more than 650 employees, we are providing residential and day habilitation services to people in seventeen different cities throughout North Alabama.

We are seeking out those who need our help the most.  Currently serving Albertville, Athens, Boaz, Cullman, Decatur, Falkville, Florence, Hartselle, Huntsville, Leesburg, Moulton, Phil Campbell, Red Bay, Russellville, Scottsboro, Tuscumbia and Vinemont.

Through community outreach projects, we are extending a helping hand to families in need as well as reading initiatives for children who have experienced education disruptions.
"We will go wherever we are needed and do whatever comes to hand."
